In a shift away from the Church of Scotland, the buildings of New College and Mylnes Court were ceded to the University of Edinburgh in 1961.
Mylnes Court currently stands on the Royal Mile, just down from Edinburgh Castle. The building is currently used for student housing and consists of 3 traditional halls, Patrick Geddes, Philip Henman and Edward Salvesen.
